The cricket match between the Australian and English Elevens commenced hare to-day, The weather has been fine, and the attendance of spectators large. Great interest is being taken in the contest. The Englishmen went in first, and at the adjournment for luncheon had lost 2 wickets for 63 runs. The following are the scores :—Barlow, b 14 ; C. T. Studd, bl 4 ; Steel, not, 4; Leslie, not out, 31. Jauukry 19, 7 p.m. At the close of the day's play the score of the Englishmen stood at 248 with seven wickets down. The following are tho additional scores Leslie, run out, 54 j Steele, c 29 | W. J.
