(by cable.—reuter’s telegrams), MELBOURNE, Jan. 16. Arrived this afternoon, the Union Company’s steamship Wairarapa, from the Bluff. Sailed this afternoon, the Union Company's steamship Te Anau, for the Bluff. The Manager of the National Loan and Mercantile and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), reports of the local grain market as follows:—Wheat, per bushel, shipping, 4s lOd—market much steadier, barley, malting, active at 4s 3d to 4s 5d ; New Zealand oats steady, but not in active demand at 3s Cd for feeding sorts, and 4s for milling. This Day. The report of the Musical Festival held at Christmas, shows a loss of £2,900. The guarantees are called upon to pay £25 each. The Hon. C. Berry, Premier and Secretary of South Australia, who is now on a visit to this city, had a lengthy conference yesterday with Sir Bryan O’Loghlin, the premier of Victoria, at which various questions affecting the two colonies were discussed.
