LONDON, December 27The Envoys of the Queen of Madagaeoar are still in England, and are at present visiting the principal Provincial centres, where they have been enthusiastically received. Numerous entertainments have been given in their honor. The popular impression being that Madagascar people are being unjustly treated by the French Government. The Irish farmers in many districts are endeavoring to put a stop to the practice of hunting over their holdings at Fethard. In Tipperary, during a run with the hounds, the huntsmen were assaulted and severely injured by an enraged mob. December 28. One of the most severe snow storms ever experienced in Scotland occurred yesterday, accompanied by a heavy gale along the coast. The proprietors of the Dublin “ Freemans Journal ” are about to be attached for contempt of Court, for having published some violent articles commenting on the Court of procedure in the Irish Court of Appeal. Three supposed American Fenians have been arrested at Limerick. On being searched they were found to be armed to December 30. Great discontent prevails among the Native population of India, and an agrarian agitation on an extensive scale is considered to be imminent throughout the Empire. Several of the commercial treaties at present existing between Turkey and other powers being about to expire, the Porte has decided not to renew any of them without substantial modification. January 2. Her Majesty the Queen has refused to allow the Duke of Connaught to accept military command in India. An agitation in favor of National Independence has sprung up in Turkish Pasbalik of Eruom. Four hundred of the principal abettors of the movement have been arrested by order of the Porte,
