MATCH FOR £50 A SIDE.
This afternoon a number of sporting men and others interested in cacing, assembled at Makaraka to witness the match between Mr T. E. R. Bloomfield's Tartar and Mr D. Page's Morning Star. The weather was all that could be desired, , and the course, if somewhat soft through the recent rain, could not be cavilled nt. [We were unable to learn the result of the race up to the time of going to press].
