RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.—GISBORNE.
This Dav. [Before M. Price, Esq., R.M.] CANNON V, WILLIAMS, The defendant was charged with assaulting the plaintiff, by throwing a tumbler at Ml head. After hearing the defendent, his Worship fined him £3 with costs, or in default 3 months' imprisonment. DIKAN V. HATARIKA. In this case the defeddant was charged with stealing 25s in silver from the plaintiff. Two witnesses were called by the accused and examined, and after hearing them, his Worship sentenced the defendant to three imprisonment hard labor in the Gisborne Gaol.
