SALVATION ARMY WEDDING.

Mb. Bramwell Booth, eldest son of Mr. Booth, “General” of the Salvation Army, was married recently at the Congress HaH, Clapton, to Miss Florence Eleanor Soper, daughter of Dr Soper, of Monmouth. Three the ceremony, the building, which is capable of hdding more than 5000 person, was full. Admission was by shilling tickets. The bridegroom was attired in his usual uniform of Chief of the Staff, whilst the bride wore a navy blue silk, made perfectly plain, with the Salvation Army badge under her right shoulder. The bride was accompanied by her parents, and as the pair walked to the p.atfdhn, the massed bands played, and those present joined in singing the Army’s war tong, "Strike for Victory." All the members of Mr. Booth's family were on the platform, supported by the general staff, and tome 700 cadets. Mr. Booth opened the service by stating his reasons for taking advantage of the occasion to bring the assemblage together for Salvation purposes. Those who had been attracted to the hall by expectation of any novelty in the marriage service were disappointed, it being almost an exact counterpart of that used in the Church of England. The audience was very quiet until the benediction was pronounced, when a prolonged shout was raised, as an expression of good wishes to the happy couple.
