SHIPPING.
The Rotorua left Wellington, yesterday, at 2 o’clock I she will arribe in Napier this afternoon, leaving there to-night, for Gisborne. She will leave for Auckland early to-morrow morning. The Omapere left Wellington on Monday evening last for Napier ana Gisborne. She will leave here to-morrow, for Tauranga and Auckland. The schooner Mary Ellen left port to-day, for Lyttelton, in ballast. She will take part In the forthcoming regatta to be held there. The schooner Saucy Kate left for Auckland to-day. A new steamer for the Australian Intercolonial trade is in course of construction. Her name is the Karawera, and her tonnage will be about 18C3. Messrs Grey, Davies and Co. have ordered a new 2,660 ton boat for the Queensland berth. She is to be called the Ballina.
