SPORTING.
Spouting men are reminded that the acceptances fur the Handicap Hurdle Race, and Boxing Day Handicap, at the Waerenga-a-hika meeting, will close to-night, and must be made to the Secretary, at the Masonic Hotel Gisborne, by 8 p.m. To-night is the night of general entry for the Waerenga-a-hika Jockey Club’s meeting, and we confidently expect to see a large number of entries. The weather promises to be delightful, horses have been in constant training, the course has been wonderfully improved, and the only thing to give the finishing touch to the success of the meeting will be a large attendance, C.J.C. Scratchings. (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Lady Emma is scratched for all engagementis at the C.J.C. New Year Day’s meet’ ing.
