Accident to Dr. Pollen and Mr Bold.

The above-named gentlemen, whilst returning irom Ormond in a buggy owned by Mr B. C. Fryer, of the Masonic Stables, met with an accident, which fortunately did not result in serious consequences, except so far as the buggy is concerned. It appears that Mr Havden, the baker at Waerenga-a-hika, takes out his bread in panniers, on each side of a horse. The well-known horse “ Grey Momus ” was in the trap, being driven by the Dr., and became frightened at his brother quadruped, with its unsightly burden, and dashed off the narrow road at Mukauri, upsetting and completely smashing up the buggy. The occupants were thrown out, and Dr. Pollen fortunately escaped without serious injury, but Mr Bold fell upon his head, and was insensible for sometime. He however recovered, and was enabled to proceed to town. The buggy is a complete wreck, and will take about £2O to put it in repair The horse which caused Grey Momus to take fright, was we learn, unattended, and it is likely that litigation will be the result.
