Mr D. M. Orr. at. the Haymarket, will shortly offer for sale a large quantity of good feed oats, and ten drums of Gilliards wellknown sheep dip material. He will also offer for sale a really first class quantity of oatmeal, and a splendid assortment of crockery and glassware. The telegraph linesman is now busily engaged in fixing up the telephonic wire which will very shortly connect Ormond with Gisborne. This is a step in the right direction, and should prove highly successful, as it will save our country friends many a weary journey and often with but poor satisfaction, after a long and unpleasant ride. A message can be sent along the wire, and a reply obtained in but a few minutes, by aid of this wonderful discovery of Edison’s.
