THE RIFLE COMPETITION.
■ The following is the first of the three competitions for the cups, given by His Worship the Mayor and W. L. Rees, Esq. The handicap will not be made known until the firing is concluded, so that it is impossible to reckon upon the chances of any of the competitors. Notwithstanding the gusty wind blowing some good scores were, made Mr O’Meara, the champion, scored 50 out of a possible (50, and Messrs Thelwall and Hansen were each recorded 48. i i Rank—Name. 200 yd. 400 yd. 500 yd.
