LONDON, Nov. 16. | The statement contained in yesterday’s “Standard” that Mr Childers was to replace Mr Gladstone as Chancellor of the Exchequer, and to be succeeded by Lord Northbrook as Secretary of War, is now officially denied. ALEXANDRIA, Nov. 15. Sulieman Bey has testified to the Royal Commission of Inquiry for the trial of Arabi that the latter ordered him to proceed to set fire to Alexandria and to murder the Khe- i dive.
