Mr A. Weston has offered special prizes as follows: —For the neatest and cheapest dressed Girl, between the age of 7 and 15, on the ground, to be judged by a Committee of Ladies—lst prize, Pint of Milk, delivered daily for 12 months; 2nd prize, Pair of Langshan Fowls ; 3rd prize, 1 Bottle of Cream the first Sunday in every month for 1 year ; 4th prize, 1 cheese. Twenty entries for above at 2s, otherwise the prize* will be disposed of by the Committee for benefit of Hospital. CONDITIONS. All entries for the Handicap* to be directed to the Secretary, and delivered at the Masonic Hotel, on Saturday, 2oth Nov., at 8 p.m. Entrance money to be enclosed with each Nomination, and description of the Colors to be worn by competieors must also be forwarded. The decision of the Judges and Referee to be final in every instance. In all cases there are to be Three Competitors or no event. As far as practicable all Prizes, with the exception of live stock, will be presented to the winners in the evening, at Parnell & Boylan’s Hall, on which occasion the Children of Gisborne Public School have decided to give a Musical Entertainment in aid of the Hospital.
