Chief Post Office. Gisborne. For Napier, Wellington and South, also the Australian Colonies, perTe Anau, Friday, Nov. 10, at 3.80 p.m. For Auckland and Sydney, per Wairarapa, on Saturday, 11th Nov., at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and West Indies via San Francisco, also the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, Ist Dec., at 3 p.m. Money orders mav be obtained and letters registered until 2 p.m. same day. This mail will be due in London on the 16th January, 1883.
For Makaraka, Waerenga-a-hika and Ormond, every Tuesday and Saturday, at 2 p.m. For Tologa Bay, every ’Tuesday, at 3 p.m. For Te Mawhai, Aku Aku, Tuparoa and Awanui, even* alternate Tuesday, at 3 p.m. —:J:—— tS. Thursday, 9th November, being the Prince of Wales’ Birthday, the Post Office will be closed, and the Telegraph Office only open from 9 to 10 a.m.
The next inward European Mail, via San Francisco, is due at Gisborne, on Friday, 17th November. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on 23rd Nov. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded bv every opportunity. J. SnRiMPToy, Chief Postmaster.
