The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s wool sales, which have been suspended on account of the races, were resumed to-day when a fairly representative catalogue, comprising about 1800 bales was presented. The attendance of home and foreign buyers was again large. Biddings were animated, and opening prices fully maintained ; bulk of lots offered sold at very satisfactory prices, high reserves on some larger lots alone preventing a complete clearance. Excellent prices were realised at the previous sales were fully maintained, and opening advance completely established.
