The ' sale will take place at Messrs Carlaw Smith ! and Co.'s auction mart, on Monday, the 13th 1 of November. i The Union Steam Shipping Company’s i new Steam boat Omaperc is expected to ar- \ rive in the Bay on route for Auckland on 1 Sunday next. She is 600 register and will i be an acquistion to the the present admirable fleet of steamers belonging to the Company. Mr C. W. Goodson, of the London Arcade, Auckland, advertises that he will open premises in Gisborne, adjoining Parnell and Boylan’s Hall, in the early part of this month, with all the latest improvements and noveli ties in their magnificent stock, which has been specially selected by Mr Goodson during his English and Continental visit, from whence he has recently returned. The motto of Mr Goodson is “ small profitsand quick returns.” We trust he may realise his idea.
