»Y ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. —(COPYRIGHT) MELBOURNE, Oct. 24. Serious floods have occurred at Birregurra on the river of that name, 84 miles S. W. of Melbourne. Three persons have been drowned by inundation of their homes. At the Police Court to-day Mr V\ illiam Hill, Manager of the Colonial Bank of Australia, at Reedy Creek, was committed for trial on the charge of being concerned in the robbery which was committed at that branch on the 12th of August last. This Day. The steamship Te Anau sailed for the Bluff yesterday. Hill, who stands committed for trial for robbery at the Reedy Creek branch of the Colonial Bank, has been released on bail.
