The strike of ironworkers in this city has been virtually settled, masters having conceded advance of one penny per hour upon the present scale of wages. Received Oct. 2, 12.20 p.m. This Day. The New South Wales revenue for last ■ quarter amounted to £1,750,000, being an : increase of £415.500, as compared with the [ September quarter of 1881. The principal increases are in the customs and railways revenue. For the year ended the 30th September it was £7,250,000, an increase of £878,000 as compared with the corresponding period of 1880-80. BRISBANE, This Day. It is stated that the Government ~ are likely to be in the minority on the Warrego Railway Bill now before the Assembly, and that it is probable a dissolution will take place if tne Ministry are defeated. MELBOURNE, Sept. 30. The supposed small-pox patient at Hamilton died to-day. The Victorian revenue for the quarter ended 30th September, amounted to the sum of £1,320,000, being an increase of £33,000 as compared with the corresponding quarter last year. T’otal revenue for year ended i 30th .September am mounted to £5,620,000, ' being an increase of £317,000 as compared with the previous year. This Day. William Hill, manager of the Colonial Bank of Australasia, at Reed} 7 Creek, has been arrested charged with a rolibcryat that branch on August 12th last. ADELAIDE, This Day.
