CABLEGRAMS.
BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—(COPYRIGHT.) [reuter’s telegrams]. Received Sept. 21, 10 p.m. ALEXANDRIA, Sept. 19. A report is current here to* day that a number of soldiers, forming part of the Damietta garrison, who refused to surrender have mutinied, and shot the commander Abdellad. ALEXANDRIA, Sept. 21. Received Sept. 22nd, 1.15 p.m. The report which was current that Abdellad, commander at Damietta, had been shot by his troops, is now known to have beeu without foundation. The rebel garrison at Damietta will be forthwith summoned to surrender, otherwise the place will be bombarded by British ironclads. The Khedive has postponed his departure for Cairo till Monday next. A oommission consisting of Native and European officers has been appointed to prosecute those who have been guilty of outrages against Europeans during the rebellion. It has been arranged that British officers shall participate in a Court-martial to be held at Cairo to try the rebel officers. ST. PETERSBURGH, Sept. 19. The offensive and defensive alliance was concluded to-day between the Russian and Montenegrin Governments. Received 0.45 a.m. Sept. 22. LONDON, Sept. 20. The Cricket Match at the Oval between the Australian Teamand Shaw’s Elevon which visited the Colonies last year, was resumed to-day, when the visitors with 7 wickets down and 38 runs to their credit, continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 87. The Homo Team then went in for their second innings, and at the close of the day’s place, had lost six wickets for 190 runs.
