—OF THE—BOROUGH or GISBOENE, T ADIES AND GENTLEMEN,-Having been nominated for a .sat at your Council, I have much pleaaur. in offering you my eervloM. My experience of work* for the water .upply of town, in Victoria may be useful. I comider the delivery of water with preeeure in Giebome a moot prominent lubjeot, and one for which the ooat will largely increase with the time allowed to elapeo before acquiring all neoeuary rights. Wharfage Accommodation should be provided, as the wants of the district are rapidly expanding. The subject of constructing some real good, and durable roadway for the Gladstone Road, and adjacent business streets, should not longer be negleoted. Drainage is very urgently neoeuary in the thickly inhabited portions of the town; it* absence tends every year more and more to aggravate the virulence of aymotio diseases, diseases which prove so fatal here. Street and house lighting, matters connected with an efficient fire brigade, Ac., shall all have my beft attention, if elected. In conclusion, I may state that my interests in property in several parts of the town will, perhaps, be considered sufficient guarantee of the earnestness of my professions. I remain, etc., 318 WM.
