CABLEGRAMS.
LONDON. September 5. The Cricket Match, Australians v. Notts, was resumed to-day. The Home Team, with five wickets down for 41 runs, continued their first innings, and were all disposed of for 111. Shrewsbury was the highest scorer with 28. The Australians went in for their 2nd innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had scored 114 for the loss of only two wickets, McDonnell being not out with 41. The weather was showery during the day, and play was occasionally stopped. CONSTANTINOPLE. September 5. A proclamation has now been issued by the Sultan, declaring Arabi a rebel, and exhorting Egyptian people to obey the Khedive. ALEXANDRIA. September 5. Arabi’s factotum, Tetehemy, who was recently taken prisoner, has reveaied to Sir Garnet Wolseley the exact position and strength of the enemy at various points. The quarantine which was in force at Suez, for vessels from Bombay, has been removed.
