(BY CABLE.—KEUTES’S SPECIAL). LONDON, Sept 1. Consols remain at 100 J. New Zealand securities, 6 per cent.; 10/40 loan, 107|; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 106£; 4| per cent. 1879; 1994 loan, 10| ex div. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 48s 6d; New Zea’and at 46s to 50s. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 355. Tha total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,210,000 quarters. Australian tallow firm at 46s 6d for best mutton, and 45s 6d for best beef. The total stock in London to-day is 14,600 casks. Best Svdney copra quoted at £lB 10s, an advance of £l. There was a demand at to-day's wool auction ; the catalogue comprised 104,500 bales. September 1,6 p.niS At the wool sales to-day, 104,000 bales were catalogued, of which 80.0C3 were withdrawn. Prices for good merinos and flue cross-breds have slightly improved. No alteration for inferior sorts.
