[Reuter'b Telegrams.] SYDNEY. September 3. An extensive fire broke out early this morning in Clarence-street, on the premises occupea by Messrs D. Mitchell and Co., wholesale grocers, causing the total destruction of the buildings and stock. The insurance amounts to £18,300 of which £4,000 was upon the building aud £14,300 upon the stock, and is divided among various offices. The loss is estimated at fully £20,000. Thia day. Mitchell's premises, which were destroyed by fire yesterday morning, were insured in the New Zealand Office for £lOOO MELBOURNE. September 2. O’Farrell, the assailant of Archbishop Gould, has been committed for trial, bau being refused. This Day. An Exhibition under the auspices of the Sheep Breeders’ Association is now being held. The exhibits are the finest aver seen in the Colony. BRISBANE . Thia Day. The steamship Quinang, which went aground in the Channel in Moreton Bay, has been successfully floated, and has arrived here,
