GROUNDING OF THE LIONESS.

(PEP. UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION). GREYMOUTH, This day. The captain and crew of the LioneiM managed to get ashore by help of the hawser; they, however, lost all their effects. A large gang of men were put on yesterday to patch up her hull, in order, if possible, to tow her off, if the weather holds favorable. The wreck may be patched temporarily so as to enable her to be towed off. The vessel was purchased at Hokitika some time ago for £2OOO. —The Lioness is a total wreck.
