FOOTBALL.

At a meeting of the Football Club held last evening, the following team were selected to kick against the Napier footballists :—Berry Cooke, Oatridge, Bourne, C. White, Bull, J. White, E. H. Pavitt, Day, E. A. Pavitt, Barnes, Wyllie, Mill, Morgan, Sherratt. Emergency : Chrisp. Umpire i Captain Winter.

It was decided to sell the privilege for the gates. W e are informed that a dinner is to ba given on Monday evening after the match, and that owing to the recent wet weather the ground has not yet been finally selected. We hope our men will prove successful, and trust the game will be well contested. Of the several members of our team we have previously written, but must admit that, with a few exceptions, it seems to us to be very weak.
