MAIL NOTICES.
Chief Post Office, Gisborne. Mails Close— For Auckland, per Rotorua, on Saturday, 12th August, at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies via San Francisco, also, the Sandwich Islands, on Saturday, 12th Aug., at 7 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, and letters registered until 5 p.m., same day. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on the 29th Augt. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brinaisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by every opportunity. The next inward San Francisco Mail is due at Gisborne, on Friday, 25th August. For Auckland and Sydney, per Hero, on Wednesday, 9th August, at 7 p.m. For Maksraka, Waerenga-a-hika A Ormond, every Tuesday and Sat unlay, at 2 p.m. For Tologa’ Bay every Tuesday, at 8 p.tnr For Te Mawhoi, Aku Aku, ’Tupaitta, and Awanui, every alternate Tuesday, at 3 p,m. For Napier, and Wellington and the South, also the Australian Colonies, per Manapouri, on Friday afternoon, 11th Aug., at 8 o’clock. J. Shrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
