MAIL NOTICES.
Chief Post Office, Gisborne. Mails Close— The next inward San Francisco Mail is due at Gisborne, on Friday, 25th August. For Auckland, per Rotorua, on Saturday, 12th August, at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies via San Francisco, also, the Sandwich Islands, on Saturday, 12th Aug., at 7 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, and letters registered until 5 p.m., same day. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on the 29th Augt. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid ths Brindisi rates of postage, vis., eightpence per half-ounce, will bs forwarded by every opportunity. J. Shrimptok, Chief Postmaster.
