ARRIVALS. JULY. 30th.—Arawata, s.s., Captain Sinclair, from Southern Ports. Passengers :—Messrs Carr, P. 11. Bourke, Meyers, Hastie, Reid, Bradley, Mr and Mrs Bailey, 5 Natives, and the Football Team. departures. JULY. 30th.—Arawata, s.s., for Auckland. Passengers : —Mrs G. Johnstone, Miss Forster, Miss Wilkins, Mr G-leyn. The Arawata which left here yesterday morning arrived in Auckland to-day at 1.30. The s.s. Oreti arrived in Auckland, from Gisborne at 4 a.m. to-day. The schooner Minnie Hare is still in the river, being unable to leave on account of head winds. She will leave as soon as possible. The schooner Cygnet for the safety of which some fears entertained arrived in Auckland on Wednesday last from Gisborne. The Union Company’s Arawata arrived in port early yesterday morning from Southern Ports, with 1 horse, and 35 tons of cargo. She left during the morning for Auckland, with 12 head cattle, 249 sheep, 3 casks, 1 pci.

The brigantine “ Energy ” is on her road from Newcastle, N.S.W., with a cargo of coal for Messrs Kennedy and Bennett. She may be looked for every hour. The “ Atalanta,” schooner, is now in the river discharging Newcastle coal for the same firm.

In consequence of an accident to the machinery of the Te Anau on her last trip to Melbourne she will be detained at that port for ten days or a fortnight. The Hero has taken up her running, and was to have left Melbourne on Thursday last. She will, therefore, not arrive here till about Tuesday, Bth August.
