[Reuter’s Special.] LONDON. July 21. Consols unchanged, 99j. Total reserve in the Bank of England, in notes and bullion, £12,750,000, being £250,000 below the reserve of last week.

The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,980,000 quarters. Adelaide and New Zealand wheat remain at 52s and 50s respectively. Australian tallow advanced Is per cwt. Beet beef, 44s 6d ; best mutton, 45s 6d. The Cricket Match between the Australian Cricketers and Eleven of Yorkshire was resumed to-day at Middlesborough. The Home team continued first innings, and were all disposed of for a total of 129. Grimshaw was the highest scorer with 30. Garrett bowled splendidly for the Australians.

July 22. Consols declined to 99 J. There are no changes to report in Now Zealand securities or in markets for colonial bread stuffs and tallow. The National Bank of New Zealand has declared a dividend of 9 per cent for the past half year, and carries forward £14,000 to the reserve fund.

The cricket match nt Middlesboro’, Australians versus Yorkshire, resulted to-day in a victory for tho former by seven wickets. The Australians required 68 run to win, and these were obtained for the loss of only three wickets. McDonnell was not out with 23. He batted splendidly, and never gave a chance. The weather was very fine to-day, but the wicket was not in good order. July 23. It is announced that the Duke of Connaught, Sir Archibald Alison, and Sir Evelyn Wood, have been appointed to the command of Brigades of the English army in Egypt. A British force is now being despatched to Alexandria. It consists of 10,009 officers and men. An extraordinarp war credit to be asked for by Mr Gladstone in the House of Commons to-morrow, will be for an amount of £2,300,000. Germany and Austria arc holding aloof from all questions affecting Egypt and the present juncture.

BOMBAY. J uly 22. Two transports sailed to-day for Suez with detachments of Indian troops for service in Egypt. ALEXANDRIA. July 21. The latest news from Kafradowar is to the effect that Arabi has further strengthened his position there. He has openly avowed his hostility to the English, with whom ho says he will carry on war to the knife. Intelligence is to hand that further disturbances have occurred in the interior of tho country between natives and Europeans, and many more of tho latter have been killed. There is general alarm among Europeans throughout the country.

The latter declined an enenequnter and mrdo off before the British could come up. Measures have been commenced bv British troops for tho occupation of Aboukir, an important strategegal position, 10 miles north east of Alexandria.

Arabi Pasha has now been formally dismissed from his position of Minister of War.
