A cunrous occurrence is reported from Sheffield. A man, living in ths'.town, sent his funeral card to his wif i, who (
is in the service of a clergyniur; at, Bodmin, in order to make hor kkj <xdf that ho was both dead and bnrie r In consequence of the wife having a suspicion that all was not right, inquiries were instituted at the request of her master, with the result that the hueband was found to bo both alive end well. The Sheffield "Independent" has boon furnished with a copy of the card, and publishes it, for obvious reasons omitting the surname of the husband :— In affectionate remembrance of William Who departed thia life March 19,1832, Aged 23, And was interred in the Burngreave Cemetery, March 22nd. “ Thia laughing head is at rest, Its thinking and aching are o'er) * This quiet immovable breast la heaved by afflictions no more.'*
