Wellington, June 13. Tho Napier members and Messrs. Morris and McDonald had a meeting re the requirements of the East Coast, and are not going to see the Government until Atkinson gets better. McDonald entertains hopes of getting breakwater. Christchurch, June 14. Consequent upon tho great increase of work in the Kaiapoi Woollen Factory, one hundred additional hands are to be put on at once. The Industrial prize at the Exhibition has been awarded to the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company. The last wool sale this season was held yesterday. The highest prices realised were as follows:—-First combing, Is 8d ; cross-bred, Bld (?) ; second and third combing, Is 6d: first clothing, Is 6}d; second and third do., Is s}d.
