R.M.’s Court, Gisborne.
Wednesday, 31st May. [Before M. Pbick, Esq., R.M.] James Trainer was charged with drunkenness in a public place on the night of the 30th of May. Prisoner pleaded guilty. Fined 10s. In default 24 hours imprisonment. Antonio Martini was charged on the information of Sergeant Bullen that he did on the loth day of May at Gisborne steal a bay gelding of the value of £lO sterling, tho property of James Fitzgerald of Tologa Bay. Mr Brassey appeared for a remand as he had only just received his instructions for defence, and had not yet had an opportunity of going into the matter.
Remanded until Friday. This was all the business.
