“Tips” for the Queen's Birthday Meeting.
(By a Clairvoyante.) The meeting at Waerenga-a-hika on the Queen’s Birthday promises to be a genuine success, and although it is generally looked upon as an impossibi ity to select winners straight out, 1 shall endeavor through my mediumistic power to prove that the future is not. altogether hidden from us. The first event, the Handicap Hurdles, seemed in my dreamy state to result thus : — Lizard ... ... ... ... 1 Luck’s All 2 The Maiden Plate had for its issue :— Squire : 1 Wild Dayrell 2 The Birthday Handicap when finished, and the numbers up, showed— Morning Star 1 The Cat 2 In the Flying Stakes after a close contest I saw— Hatred Colt 1 Hero 2 Should these results not. prove to be correct I shall in the fut ure eschew Clairvoyance and legitimately tout for bona fide information, in fact I shall discard “ spirits ” generally, except of course that. “ morning nip” termed an “ eye opener,” without which the most astute tipster would fail to see much in a gallop at break of day.
