LIONS IN CHRISTCHURCH.

On the Gth May, Te Whiti and Toliu were taken to the Exhibition. The prisoners were dressed iu ordinary civilian clothing, and were accompanied by Mr Bcetham, R.M., and escorted by the warders and A.C. men. Te Whiti displayed considerable interest, but Tohu maintained a sullen demeanour. A large crowd followed them, but no communication was allowed, a single exception being made in favor of Crombie Brown, who was allowed to shake hands with Te Whiti. The opinion is growing that they will never bo brought to trial.
