Friday, sth May. [Before M. Price, Esq., R.M.] TTariatu Kahukura v. Apiata Kahukura. Claim £lO. Judgment for plaintiff, £5, and costs, £1 Is.—Harris v. Ely. Claim £l3 6s. Mr Nolan for plaintiff Judgment for plaintiff, £l3 65., and costs £2 Is.—McKay v. Pomare. Claim £3 Bs. 6d. Mr Nolan for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff, £3 Bs. 6d., and costs, 14s. Heni Paroa was charged with committing an assault with intent, &c., on the person of one Irahapeta Puha, under the age of ten years (that, is to say, of nine years of age), at Mungatu, on the 20th of April. The evidence is unfit for publication. Sergeant Bullen requested that he might be allowed to withdraw the charge, and substitute the graver indictment of rape. The charge was dismissed accordingly, and a fresh information preferred. The Court then adjourned.
