The Geelong Advertiser states .that “ a very -curious and painful accident happened to a young gentleman resident in Geelong the other evening. Whilst walking in the street an insect Hew into one of his cans. All attempts to dislodge the insect proved unavailing, and recourse had to be made to surgical operation, when a large-sized moth was found to have pierced-its way right Ihroygh •the cavity of the ear, and had caused synipAoms of uilLmatiou to set in.”
