[From ocb own Correspondents]. London, April 20. Mr Gladstone, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, will deliver his Budget statement in the House of Commons on Monday, the 24th inst. Melbourne, April 23. A case of attempted murder and suicide occurred to-day in Russellstreet. A Hungarian named Sieber shot at and dangerously wounded a barmaid, and subsequently killed himself. The crime is attributed to jealousy. The Australian overland telegraph line is interrupted.
