BREWERS V. PUBLICANS.

The return cricket match between the Brewers and Publicans was played yesterday at Roseland, resulting, after a hard struggle, in a victory for the bonifaees by one wicket and two runs. Mr Sam Stevenson’s Break, well filled with players and spectators, left the Masonic Hotel at 11.30 yesterday morning for the scene of action. Wickets were pitched at two o’clock. After play was over an adjournment was made to the Roseland Hotel, where Mr J. Scott had provided a tempting supper to which ample justice was done, and a most convivial and enjoyable evening was spent by the victors and vanquished.
