Constable Walsh deposed as to findtbe articles in accused’s house. Accused’s statement to the constable was that he found I ho ar’ides tied up in a bag lying on the road near Mr King’s, on his way home from Mr Oxenhatn’s one dark, wet night in November last. Mr Bra-sey addressed the Court for the defence and called Mr Oxenham (in whose employ tin* accused has been for the last three years), who gave him an excellent character.
