RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, GISBORNE.

Monday, February 6, 1882. [Before 31. Price, Esq., Tt.M.] Police r. Albert Penford. Larceny of a blanket and wash basin, valued at 7s. Mr Brassey appeared for the defence and asked for an adjournment of the case until Saturday. Sergeant Bullen consented to the adjournment.

Mr Brassey asked the Bench to allow the accused to be admitted to bail, and the request was granted. Mr S. Stevenson signed the usual form, and the accused was liberated. The bail was fixed at £2O. POLICE V. ISAAC JOHNSON. Larceny of two blankets. Mr. Brassey also appeared in this case, and applied for an adjournment, which was consented to, and bail fixed at £2O. Wm. Smith was charged with larceny of a. saddle. Case adjourned until Saturday.
