Melbourne, Jan. 10. The shipMelanopo, 1608 tons, from Liverpool, got aground while entering South channel, her cargo being taken out by lighters, her position is not considered dangerous. Another of the Garonne’s passengers has caught the smallpox, and has been taken to the quarantine station. The G aronne proceeded on her voyage to Sydney to-day, most of the passengers for New Zealand disembarked here, and will be quarantined for at least a fortnight.
