Caledonian Sports.
(By Horseshoe.) The Caledonian Sports to take place on Monday the 2nd of January, 1882, seem to be attracting the attention of the general public and the sporting community at large, and from what I have heard, and the exceptionally good prices received for the privileges on Saturday last, I think they will be highly successful, as there is to be a variety of horse and foot races. Now as I know nothing whatever about footracing, (and less still about horse racing, as |my prophecies of last Monday’s meeting will show,) I cannot give you any “ tips ” on the foot races ; but I will try and improve on my last attempt by “ tipping ’’..the horse events for Monday next as follow :— Hubble Race.
