Mr. McDonald at Wairoa.

Wairoa, Dec. 6. At Mr McDonald’s meeting last night the County Hall was crowded with Natives, none of whom were electors; there being a big muster of women and boys. Mr McDonald appealed for the support of swagmen, and said they had an equal right to vote with landowners. He spoke more ungram atically, and uttered more “bunkum ” than ever. A vote of confidence was proposed by Mr Thorpe and seconded by Mr Flint. A vote of thanks only was proposed by Mr Powdrell and seconded by Mr Shaw. The Chairman declared the show of hands about equal, atnid great uproar. It was impossible to count the show of hands either way.
