The Hon. Josceline G. Amherst, son of Earl Amherst, who had to leave England last December, in consequence of delicate health, has been appointed private secretary io His Excellency G. William Des Vceux, C.M.G., Governor of Fiji. In view of Gladstone’s appeal for the support of Loyal Irishmen, the Land League of County Meath has resolved not to permit hunting this season.
