TCTOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of this Council, held on the 9th inst., the following By-Law was confirmed, and will come into force on MONDAY, the 3rd October prox. By-law 7. That Drays using a tire, under 2f inches wide shall not be allowed to carry more than 25 cwt. Drays using a tire of 2f inches and not exceeding 4 inches, shall not carry more than 30 cwt. Drays using a tire exceeding 4 inches, and not exceeding 5 inches, shall not carry more than 35 cwt. Drays using a tire exceeding 5 inches, and not exceeding 6 inches, shall not carry more than 40 cwt. Drays using a tire exceeding 6 inches shall not carry more than 45 cwt. ’ This scale of widths and weights to apply to 2-wheeled vehicles ; 4-wheeled vehicles may carry double the above weights. Any Person committing a breach of this By-law, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds.
