. There were no cases of public interest in the R; M’s Court yesterday. We learn that the s.». Rosina was weather bound at Tologa Bay when the mailman ptoed on Monday last. 1 It is notified that the- partnership hitherto subsisting between llioe. W. Porter and Allan McLean has been dissolved. A recent Government Gazette announce* that Edward Devery has been appointed poundkeeper at Karawa : and thathe pound has been removed. Aleo that the road at Waerepga-e-hika to the Repongaere road, on the ‘ Waipara ” (sto) ; rirar has been taken over as a County road. ' ’ ~ At a large meeting of the town residents of Tauranga, recently held ip thst township, it was resolved, by a majority of 54 t 6 30, that the time has not arrived when Municipal Corporation should exist in the Tauranga <ustnct, _ ° In our last issue in reporting the Civil ease Westrup v. Bromley, the words exchanged between Counsel and the Bench were taken to describe the nature of the claim rather than the claim itself. On reference we find the words “ unaccounted for ” appear. This ib unfortunate since it was far from our reporter s intention to convey.the meaning that Mr. Bromley had fraudulently concealed ths amount sought for recovery. Literally the words are correct; bvt as their application have evidently caused Mr. Bromley annoyance if not pain, we apologise and explain. Mr. Bromley, as Trustee in an estate, was antherised to pay monies coming into his hands, oft ■account of it to. Major Westrup. But, *• he stated, he expended it on the property, he considered he has “ accounted for ” it, but not to the plaintiff. Our only fault is in being too literal,- but we are sorry to give cause for aU!i-syahoe
