London, August 27. At the Wool sales to-day 10,300 bales were offered, making a total of 45,000 catalogued since opening. The tone of the bidding was quiet, and prices weaker. August 28. Telegrams are to hand from Candahar, announcing that Ayoub Khan completed a concentration and equipment of his forces, and will commence an advance to-day, against the Ameer, at Khelat, and Ghilzai. Ayoub’s cavalry have already started in advance of the main body. Washington, August 28. A bulletin, issued this morning, reports President Garfield having passed a better night, and his condition is slightly improved.
