At a Committee meeting held after the above, Messrs. Porter (Chairman), Tattley, Berry, and Dufaur present, it was resolved, after discussion, That the engagement of Messrs Allan and McLeod as prospectors for the Association be terminable at a week’s notice on either side. That all payments be made by cheque, and no account be paid until passed by the Committee.
It was decided to advance £22 to the prospectors, less £3 on three forfeited shares which the prospectors were desirous of taking up. It was resolved that the operations shall, until further instructed, be confined to the following limits : —From the mouth of the Turanganui river to its source on the Waimata ; thence to the watershed range, bounding the County ; thence to Hungaroa river ; and thence by a line to the sea. A * rough tracing of the country to be furnished by the Committee. Resolved that the prospectors send in reports to the Secretary by every favorable opportunity. At intervals of not more than one month. Resolved that Mr. Ratcliffe be empowered to sign cheques on the bank account of the Association. Resolved that the Secretary be authorised to call meetings when necessary.
