The Albumin Company -
The twelth annual report of the Alburnia Gold Mining Company has been issued, from which we gather that, although a depression exists in this company’s affairs, as in many others at the Thames, it has done well, during that period, and its prospects are still good. The quantity of quartz crushed was 4,684 tons of ordinary stone, and 6,0001b5. of specimen stone, producing 8,327 ozs. lldwts. of gold, *if the value of £21,620 4s 4d. Out of this sum, £ll,OOO, or £1 7s 6d. per share, has been paid in dividends. During the last quarter of the year the quartz raised was not up to the average quality, and this fact, added to a scarcity of water for crushing purposes, has caused the returns to fall off considerably.
