' The best repartee I have heard for some time was in Court yesterday - (says a correspondent of the Thames Star), Professor Speight was -in the box, and stated that he was ft liquidator or agent for a. liquidator. Mr. Cuff remarked to Mr. Miller that he understood the Professor would have nothing to do with liquids, whereupon Mr. Miller replied , “ No, he is a liquid hater." Good. There is balm in Gilead.
